PLP Is Now on Bookshop.org!

Kit Ballenger

You probably know by now that Pride and Less Prejudice sends books free of charge to educators in PreK - 3rd Grade classrooms across the United States and Canada. If you’ve ever admired our book selections and thought, ‘I want a copy of that for my own bookshelf!’ – we’ve made that easier for you to do!

Pride and Less Prejudice is now an affiliate on Bookshop.org. Bookshop is an online bookseller. It supports local, independent bookstores with an online sales platform and offers an affiliate program that provides a 10% commission on every sale with a matching 10% for a pool of independent bookstores. This program is currently available in the US, UK, and Spain.

Bookshop gives Pride and Less Prejudice a place to recommend books beyond those titles featured in our annual bundles – although you’ll certainly find our current and prior featured selections there, too! For example, we’ve created a shelf for our favorite LGBTQ+ board books already, and in the coming weeks you’ll find a shelf full of books recommended in prior PLP Blog posts. We welcome your suggestions for other LGBTQ+ book lists you’d like to find in our Bookshop!

Our new Bookshop affiliate page doesn’t change anything about the way PLP provides books for educators. Our book bundle request form is still the only way to request free books from PLP for your classroom! This Bookshop affiliate page is a practical way for us to share valuable book recommendations with you and offers you an easy way to support our important existing programs.

Happy browsing and book shopping, and thank you in advance for your support!
