PLP and Only Human

Only Human is a community organization devoted not only to selling apparel and accessories, but also to lifting voices and supporting causes that are dedicated to making the world a better place. Only Human values stories, social justice work, and activism not only in words, but in action as well. Every month, Only Human devotes 10% of their profits to causes that, in their words, “Help to make humans better.” Shep tells us a little about Only Human’s work and their partnership with PLP!

Read out loud, read out proud! Q2 of 2022 is all about showing what it means to live out loud, not just during pride month, but every day. As we’ve been prepping for pride, it occurred to me how cool it would have been if I grew up in a classroom where acceptance permeated the atmosphere. With anti-LGBTQ+ legislation sweeping across the country, we are here to say it out loud that we are ALL FOR LOVE and LOVE IS FOR ALL. Independent of who you are, who you love, and what you do with your life, ALL humans are worthy and deserving of love, regardless of their labels.

We are working with our friends over at Pride and Less Prejudice to bring LGBTQ-inclusive books to the classrooms throughout North America. Do you have a favorite book? If it’s not already LGBTQ+ inclusive, we challenge you to make it that way! As part of our Pride Cause Campaign, we, along with Pride and Less Prejudice are calling all humans to re-write some of your favorite books and put an LGBTQ+ twist on them!
