2022-2023 Book Launch!

Kit Ballenger

Just-sharpened pencils, a fresh haircut, first day jitters – the start of a new school year can bring with it all sorts of excitement. Over here at Pride and Less Prejudice, we’re thrilled that the start of another school year brings with it a new collection of LGBTQ+ children’s books we’ll be sending out in bundles to PreK - 3rd grade classrooms across the U.S. and Canada. The 2022-2023 Book Bundles, which are available for free by request through our online form, include these seventeen selections for young readers that represent a wide range of identities and authentic experiences. Over the coming months we’ll feature read-alouds by many of these authors and illustrators and, as always, Teaching Guides are available on our website to enhance your classroom use of these books.

We are thrilled to bring you the following books during the 2022-2023 school year:

Purchases of these – or any other book – through our affiliate Bookshop storefront will automatically send a small donation to PLP, at no extra cost to you, which just means we can send more books to reach more kids in more classrooms!

Now that we have the books covered, you can focus on finding the perfect first-day outfit. Happy back-to-school!
